“Based on my stay at your landmark hotel I have made a gross mistake. During the past session the Texas Legislative considered redistricting. The 1st proposal had me representing Tyler, Angelina, and Nacogdoches counties. Because of other factors, I informed my legislative leadership that we needed to work on another option. If I had the fortunate opportunity to have stayed at the Fredonia before that, my actions would have been different. Not only for East Texas, but Texas generally, the Fredonia is a state treasure. Staying here was a treat. This is a fabulous experience and I will do repeats. Thank you for the unique experience and hospitality. “This hotel is in exceptional location right downtown in the historic district of Nacogdoches. Traveler should note that all the chain hotels in Nacogdoches are off busy highway 59 and you have to drive into town, a real pain. Hotel Fredonia, on the other hand, has a wonderful central, historic location, unlike the chains. Walking distance to downtown shops and local attractions. Quaint lobby, with gigantic coi pond overlooking lobby. I was impressed with the talented band that played in patio area under the beautiful live oak trees the Saturday night we were there. We loved the view from the tower room looking out on the historic area of town. Rooms and beds were comfy. Nice touches with fresh flowers around hotel, which you don't see much in hotels anymore. Overall very pleased with hotel, you should give it a try“

“LOVED this amazing 1950s style hotel. We snagged a last-minute room after vacating a flea bag hotel across town. So glad we made the move! Hotel Fredonia is so charming and unusual. Rooms circling the pool so cool. Lovely courtyard; Saturday night stay and fantastic jazz band playing by the pool. Had wonderful dinner and drinks poolside. Hotel lobby is absolutely gorgeous with fragrant flowers and helpful staff; also has a cool sports bar, and an elegant restaurant.“

The staff... to the maids, maintenance men, porters and waitresses were as nice to us as if we were family.
